Floral Thank You

I had so much fun making a set of 6 Thankyou notelets weeks ago and this is the only one I can find.  I made them all different, using the same ink pad and Hero Arts stamps, some stickles and Glossy Accents.

Festive Frolics

Going through my stash I came across all the Christmas papers and stamps and was shocked to realise just how much I have left over! I decided to make some cards before this year's goodies come out to tempt me.

The reindeer stamp is from Papermania Festive Frolics coloured with Promarkers and black and white enamel accents.  The snowflake and greeting is from the same set and the little flower is made with a Papermania Poinsettia templete.  The centre is a sticky bud covered in glitter.  The papers are from an 8 x 8 Festive Frolics paper pack, card blank is papermania 8 x 8 Kraft.

Fast and simple easel using Papermania Poinsettia paper pack.

Another quickie, Festive Frolics 8 x 8 paper pack, a paper crimper and a couple of gems.

Forever Friends

There were some lovely embossed white Forever Friends cards in a recent doCrafts goody bag, together with some glittered embellishments.  I wanted to bring out the embossing so I used watercolour pencils.

Also added some silver glitter pen and stickles.

Just Two

Had a great time at the Siopa Bui workshop in Carlow on Saturday.  We made 6 projects and I managed to make a hash of my first attempt at one of them, but I saved the embossed card and when I got home I made a quickie card with it, adding some blue ink to the embossed areas and punching a flower out of the scrap piece.

It was a lovely venue and I was delighted with the projects but I'm not sure about the etiquette of posting cards made at a workshop?

The tri-shutter style of card used to completely defeat me. After watching Kay demo on C & C I pulled out the Hougie board and it was easy-peasy.  Tulip papers and embellishments.

I know I've told you before about Sliekje's free digi stamps.  You have to check them out, they are so gorgeous.  As soon as I saw this image I knew it would be perfect for the many cards I have to make for my teenage daughters' friends' birthdays.  Papers are from docrafts lovely Tulip range, used a circle punch to create the scallop, coloured the image with Promarkers, blue distressed the edges, and since I don't yet own a rolled flower die, I used distress inks to colour some paper, cut out wobbly spirals and rolled them.  Added some stickles and the bff is from Forever Friends alphabet.  Leaves punched with an X-Cut punch, coloured with DI.

Country Companions

I was lucky enough to win the doCrafts prize draw last month! 50 quid's worth of Country Companions products.  Lovely!

BUT - after watching Create and Craft and Phil docrafts Martin, who is (as we say in Ireland) a wee dote, and a talented crafter, I am changing my mind about Country Companions.  He made lovely cards with it.  I may have to have another go, stealing his ideas!

Father's Day

Not happy with the camera but I'm not going to keep moaning about that!

Got together with my two crafting neighbours and we played with alcohol inks, silver mirri, paper crimper, twine and buttons.  The seal was generated at Official Seal Maker - so handy.

It's great having two neighbours who make cards, you can pool equipment and ideas!

Camera Arrived!

I'm back, thanks to the arrival of a camera! I need to adjust settings though, I'm seeing digital lines.

Bought the Hero Arts Luscious Ledger stamp at the workshop on Saturday, of which more later.  Stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Sand, the sentiment is from Hero Arts Daisy Labels stamped with Hero Arts Chalk Ink in Poppy and clear embossed, the same ink used to colour a strip of card to match.  Flower, button, twine, Glossy Accents.
